The Congregation of the Sisters of the Cross of Chavanod is an Apostolic Religious institute which is international and of pontifical right. The Institute is present in sixteen countries and four continents.
The Calcutta Province of the Congregation serves in various development activities, especially relating to the girl child.
Shelter, academic preparation to be able to join mainstream education system, making young girls self-reliant by teaching them life skills and healthcare for women and children in the slums, are some of the Congregations projects.
